Who Won World War II?
This weekend marks the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. Countries around the world are celebrating victory over German and Italian fascism. However, the worldwide celebration isn’t united. Most of the West fails to consider the role of the Soviet Union in winning the war in Europe.
The web site for the British newspaper ‘The Independent’ has an interesting article examining whether the Soviet Union’s participation in the war was necessary for an Allies victory.
