Marc Chagall Panel

On February 15, 2013, I will be participating on a panel with the Steampunk Illumination Society about the Diesel Era artist Marc Chagall at the Dallas Museum of Art. It was Chagall’s fusion of contemporary with anachronism that makes him a kindred spirit of both Steampunk and Dieselpunk. Just like Chagall, both of our genres take the zeitgeist of the past, whether it’s Victorian era of Steampunk or the Jazz Age of Dieselpunk, and combines that zeitgeist with postmodern sensibilities to create something new and unexpected.

This event is part of the museum’s ongoing program called “Late Nights at the DMA”. It runs from 7pm to 11. The Dallas Museum of Art is located at 1717 N Harwood St, Dallas, TX 75201.
